Titanic Tragedy

On April 10, 1912, an ocean liner called the RMS Titanic set sail from Southampton England to New York City in America with 2228 passengers and crew in it's maiden voyage. They said that the ship was unsinkable, but on April 14, 1912 at 11.40 P.M. the Titanic hit an iceberg on the starboard. The ship can stay afloat with four compartments flooded, but the iceberg scraped open five of the compartments which means that Titanic is doom. She sank in two hours and forty minutes in 2 and a half miles of deep ocean. And of the 2228 people on board, only 705 survived, because the water was 28 degrees cold and there were not enough lifeboats and most of them were only half full. Making this the world's famous maritime disaster.
