On May 1, 1915, 1964 boarded the Lusitania that will set sail from Pier 54, New York City to Liverpool England. The ship also carried ammunitions because there was a war between England and Germany. But at 2:10 P.M. on May 7, 1915, of the South Cost of Ireland. A German Submarine called U-20 lead by Kapitänleutnant Schwieger fired 1 torpedo right underneath the Lusitania's bridge on the starboard side. In less than 20 minutes the ship disappeared under the water. Of the 1964 people on board, only 764 survived, while 1198 died, including 128 Americans. And that's what brought America into World War 1.
